This Lockheed built transport was originally developed as an assault transport capable of operating from short unpaved runways. It has since been adapted for many uses by military and commercial organizations worldwide. Our C-130A was flown by the 127th Tactical Fighter Wing as a support aircraft from 1986 to 1989 when it was replaced by a C-130B. C-130Es are presently stationed at Selfridge with the 127th Airlift Group flying worldwide missions
