This Douglas built attack bomber was flown by the 107th Bomb Squadron of the MI ANG at Detroit’s Metropolitan Airport from 1947 to 1950. Developed during WW-II as the A-26, a high performance heavily armed bomber, it was re-designated the A-26 in 1948. The “C” model was developed as a conventional bomber with less armament. Our B-26C was obtained from the Benjamin O. Davis Vocational School at Detroit’s City Airport in 1986.
